February 24th, Path

 

Freak HEAVY snow storm this morning.  It wasn't supposed to hit until after 5am but it hit about 4am instead.  I TRIED to head for work about 435 but made it 2 miles & had to turn around & go home. (35 minutes, round trip).  About 730, I looked out & noticed all the snow on the street had already melted.  So, I went out, shoveled a path on the front walk & left for work again.  made it this time.  By the time I got home from work, almost ALL the snow was gone!!! 



February 23rd, Pastel

 

 

Rocks in my front yard.  Not QUITE as pastel as they promised me but, they aren't brown!!

February 22nd, Ice Cream

 

I can't do sugar.  But I can't give up the ice cream.  They aren't HORRIBLE.....

February 21st, Hobby

 

Y'all KNOW I'm a stamper (something I said I would NEVER do).  But, I also USED to cross stitch.  I have an entire box of finished projects that I could never afford to get framed.  I want to get back into it.  While getting this stuff out, I also grabbed some more Aida & a couple of patterns that I had ready to work... Maybe I will get motivated???

February 20th, Keeping Fit

Treadmill.  I still HATE it.  But, I get up at least 6 days a week & do it.  I need to start upping my speed I guess.  I CAN NOT do more time, at least not on weekdays!!  Check out those SCARY WHITE legs!!!

 

February 19th, Breakfast

Friday is my breakfast day.  I sometimes stop on other days but I always do it on Friday.  Love McDs diet coke (in a foam cup!) But, unfortunately today, there was a boil order in Belleville so no fountain soda, no coffee, no OJ!  Sandwich was good tho.

 

Oh, and this would be a good "background" pic.  See my cute little Longaberger basket in the Background??

February 18th, In The Background

Another theme I really struggled with.  If the "object" of the photo is in the background, doesn't that mean the focal point has to be in the foreground.  Is this a picture of electric wires & lights with the church in the background??  Or is a picture of the church w/the night sky in the back ground?  Or, is it a lame attempt to call the church the "background"???

February 17th, A Door

 

The doors in my life are pretty basic.  I DO like the door to my house but I've shared it before.  Trying not to duplicate here.  lol.  I was at Sonic earlier but, again, I've done Sonic before so their door was out....  I took several pictures of several doors but they were kinda dull looking.  I finally settled on this.  Not the perfect image I wanted but the best I could come up with.  This is our business neighbor.  I dont know the reason for the bars; it's not a bad neighborhood....

 

On a lighter note; I always told Becca, she makes a better door than a window!!!

 



February 16th, Empty

Empty.  The kids' rooms are empty.  The start of the empty nest? Probably not.  Becca's supposed to graduate in May and will be moving back home.  Could be for 6 months, could be for 6 years!  But right now, the rooms are empty.

 

This pic did not turn out the greatest.  The lights were off in the rooms & that's what I WANTED to capture but, it didn't quite work.

February 14th, My Happy Place

 

My Happy Place?  This has always been my happy place.  I love to create things.  But lately, the inspiration hasn't been there...  I sit & stare at my supplies & nothing comes to me.  When I try something, it just doesn't seem to work.  I really miss SWAPPING!!!  That could always get me going. I'm going to have to try to either re-capture that joy or find new people to swap with!

Ferbruary 13th, A Pet

 

This is Jack.  Jack may be considered as some as a pet but, in fact, he is TRULY family!!  He would have been in big trouble if he hadn't found us as his forever home. He is a Ferguson & he must have known we were too! (Just for the record, this picture was taken as he was sleeping in the laundry basket full of CLEAN clothes.  He knows he's not supposed to be in the basket of clean clothes but, he's a Ferguson.  He rarely does what he knows he's supposed to do!)

 

February 12th, Paper

 

Paper?  You ask for PAPER??  I can give you PAPER!!!  This is just what was on my table from recent projects.  I have tons & tons & tons more paper.  I could probably craft for the rest of my life & NEVER need to buy another piece of paper. 

February 11th, A Wall

 

A wall.  I really really struggled with this one.  Still not thrilled w/this shot.  This is one side of my hallway.  First thing I did when we moved in was add pictures to this hall.  While I had a 4 week old asleep on the other side of the hall....  But, it was important to me to have pictures on the WALL!

 

 

 

This is the wall in the basement.  Liked the idea but it was too much like "texture" from an earlier photo of the day.....

February 10th, Pink

PINK!  In my world, what ISN'T pink??  My lip balm is pink, my fitbit is pink, my really useful boxes are pink, my big shot is pink. I have pink lights around my desk at work.  When given a choice, I ALWAYS choose PINK!!! 

February 8th, A Corner

 

This morning, the corner I walk around to get to my office.  In the snow.  I love that there is a florist shop, on the corner, that decorates their windows seasonally.  Makes me happy when I come around the corner.



February 8th, Family

Just my luck, the day the subject is "family" I'm totally alone!  The kids are both at school & Scott's in Chicago this week.  Just me & the cat at home.  So, this is a picture of a picture of my family.  It's 3 years old but at this age, we don't change that much.



February 7th, I Ate Here

For our pre-Super Bowl meal, it was DQ.  Not very traditional nor a Ferguson tradition.  We had to go to Scott's mom's to do her bills for her.  Didn't want to go anywhere that would be crowded so we ended up at Dairy Queen.  The chicken strips were good.  The fries, not so much.

 

 



February 6th, Just Now

Just now.  Just now, I finished my treadmill for the day.  To most, 27 minutes isn't much.  But considering I started out at 8 minutes, I think it's pretty good!  I don't think I will ever find a way to add more than another 3 minutes to the work out.  Maybe it's time to up my speed now?

February 5th, Coffee

 

 

I don't drink coffee.  Scott doesn't drink coffee.  Neither of the kids have learned to drink coffee Becca's been in college for 3 years & tried it once.  That was all she needed to know she doesn't like coffee & never will!!!  Nick's only a freshman; he's still planning on trying it... someday.  But, my mother drinks coffee, my brother's all drink coffee.  I'm pretty sure ALL my nieces & nephews on my side of the family drink coffee.  I have a tiny, 4 cup coffee maker I got when Scott & I got married.  Scott takes coffee from hotels & I keep it in the freezer until someone comes over & asks for coffee.  (I wonder how many times I've said coffee in this post??)

Ferbruary 4th, Texture

Texture!  One of my favorite photo themes!  I love to take pics of ANYTHING to show the texture.  Today, I took about 10-15 different things trying to chose what would be best.....  I ended up going with the very first pic I took.  This is my denim jacket.  LOVE how it turned out.
